Why not wear a Jeep Cap? They're relatively easy to get hold of and are designed to go under an M1... or aren't they?
(I admit to knowing bog all about yank kit, so go ahead... shoot me down!)
Yea could do Yith, Jeep caps was more of an infantry thing. Some marines wore their HBT cap underneath their Helmet in the same way though ![]()

ah cool... so not too far off the mark ![]()
Flirting with the mark there Yith! ![]()
Haha, that besides,.. Heather had a Jeep cap but I never got around to getting 1.

I was going to get one just to wear with civvies at one point. They look nice and comfy... ![]()
And risk looking like an Emo Yith?! hahaha
Theyre itchy as foooook to start with, but not too bad once you get used to em.

lol... I wouldn't look much like an emo I can assure you... lol
You would if you sewed a frill of lank hair around the edge and wore baggy trousers.

Just got a jeep cap, lovely and comfy and warm!

Just lost my Eastman A4 mechanics cap
very Warm - not at all itchy.
Just ordered a new one from J Murray ![]()

Nah agree with Steve although didn't want to be too negative . Stubble is do-able ish , beards have to be dodgy for WWII apart from partisans/ civvies . Shaved my off for Arnhem and have done so again for other games.
aye I know heh just hate shaving.
maybe one of these days i'll do it for games but with some being almost every month would be a ache shaving it then growing it back every month heh

Beards prevent a proper seal of the gasmask hence most Armies didn't allow them. But out on patrol or having been dropped behind enemy lines like in Normandy you see photos of people wearing big beards. (see "At the Point of No Return" by M. de Trez)
Good looking kit there Chris, still a bit shiny.
